i got to see my family tonight :) that was awesome. and i got and gave a lot of hugs. i really missed my dog, though. i got some socks 'from the dog' purchased by my mother as always. my dog used to like to steal socks off your feet. i had to leave the room after that

i just wanted to leave you a note to say that i got einsturz...howeveryouspellit and broken social scene for kári and he liked them both very much, tho it was quickly agreed upon that broken social scene is much more my taste. so it goes. but he wanted me to thank you for the musical suggestions :) so i am.

i am thrilled that he likes the albums. i knew you would prefer bss [after all they are practically related to stars, and you liked them right away]. however i also knew that it was not directly a suggestion for you. but i don't think einstürzende neubauten will pain you, either. just be thankful that i am a nice shawna, and do not maliciously get you to purchase something annoying.

isn't it weird when family members refuse to talk to each other? I have some older relatives that are like that, and they only make up with people when someone is dying or dead. Very sad. Some are even siblings. Ah, the older generation - I hope things have changed since then and people are more forgiving now.

it is in my mother's family, and her generation. i got to witness [and be a go between in] their battles. it was not fun. however the 'other' side [i.e. everyone but my mother] has not bothered to give me a call at all. it definitely is sad.
