Movie Review: Paranormal Activity (2007)

I watch a lot of horror movies, both good and bad (mostly bad, becuase there are so few good ones). That being said, when I say that this is the first good horror movie to have come out since the remake of Dawn of the Dead, understand that it means out of a LOT of horror movies. Oh man! Another one I wanted to see! Some critics loved it other thought it was overhyped! I'm going to get it when it comes out. I like scary horror movies not gory! That's what a horror movie is supposed to do! Keep you lying awake at night! Although I do like gory every now and again!:)

It might have been a little overhyped, but for me it lived up to the hype. Of course, I saw it before it got super-hyped so... I'm the same way, I like scary horror movies, not gory ones. Gore, in my opinion, is only good if it's used correctly. Like, the gore in Nightmare on Elm Street is done really well. I really hate torture porn though (Saw and Hostel).
