Half of any battle is psychological, dude. That's why Pokémon have abilities like Intimidate. You're better off with a badass-looking team that can battle than a floofy, stupid, girly-looking team that can battle.

Nope, Pichu is Johto's own addition to the series of "Awesome Electric-type Mouse" pokemon! ...They're pretty - er - difficult to train though, they tend to shock themselves with the electric attacks.
