Chapter 6
Blood….there was blood oozing between her legs creating a little pool around her…and pain. A horrified pain was ripping her insides apart. She could hear voices; people were running around her. She could feel a warm hand holding hers and a gentle familiar voice whispering comforting words but she couldn’t understand what the voice was saying, her mind was consumed from the pain.

Kame couldn’t believe what Jin said to her back at the car. At first she thought he was joking but when she saw that hateful look at his face she knew he was dead serious. She couldn’t get angry with him though, sad yes angry no. Maybe he was right; maybe it was her fault that they took the train at that day. She just hoped she could remember.
Tears were running freely from her eyes as she was putting her clothes in the suitcase. She couldn’t stay there any longer; she was feeling that she didn’t have a place there. Jin hated it and it was clear he didn’t want her in the mansion. It would’ve been better for her if she just disappeared for a while, at least until the baby was born and she would bring him to his grandparents to see him once after that she would probably give her baby away, that was the best solution.
She looked around one last time to check if she had forgotten anything and she closed the suitcase.
“Akane?” Her mother-in-law opened the door. “What are you doing?” Her eyes widened when she saw the suitcase on Kame’s hands.
“I…I’m sorry I’m leaving…” Kame muttered.
“What?! Why?! Did something happened?! Did we do anything to you?!”
“No. It’s just I wanna stay alone for a while.” She was feeling guilty for not saying the truth about what happened between her and Jin.
“But you are pregnant! You can’t do that!” The older woman yelled desperately. She didn’t understand what had gotten into the girl and she wanted to leave like that. Maybe it was a pregnancy syndrome.
Hearing his mother’s yelling Jin came inside the room too wondering what’s going on between the two women.
“What’s wrong?” He looked at Kame and the suitcase raising his eyebrow.
“Akane wants to leave, Jin.”
“Really? Why?” Of course he had an idea of the reason why Kame wanted to leave but since she didn’t say a word he also wouldn’t utter a word.
“I don’t know Jin, say something to her.”
“But mom if she has made her decision I can’t change her mind. If she ever decided to come back she knows the way.” He simply said with a cold tone in his voice and left the room without glancing Kame.
“Jin!! Akane…” She tried one more time but Kame was being stubborn. Jin was right she knew the way back if she wanted to return. She took her bag and ignoring the older woman walked towards the door. She stopped for a while and without turning her head she muttered a soft ‘sorry’. Her-mother-in law dropped on her knees, hiding her face at her palms sobbing.
Kame could hear her but she didn’t go back, she couldn’t. She had already made her choice and nothing could change it. Not even the cries of the other. Someone might say that she’s cold hearted but she wasn’t, her heart was already broken.
She slowly walked out of the big mansion with one last look before she disappeared in the darkness. Jin was looking at her from his bedroom’s window; he didn’t make any move to stop her. He knew she would come back at some point when she would realize that she had nowhere else to go and ran out of money.
Besides he wanted some time away from her to think this whole situation and figure out why he was feeling weird as he saw her walking away. Yeah he had lot things to think and maybe it was better like this. Everything will be just fine at the end or so he thought.
Kame was walking at the streets without a specific destination. People were looking at her with pity written in their faces. They were thinking that either she ran away from home or kicked out by her family. Some of them were stopping to have a better look at her while others were just passing by.
She needed a place to stay for the night and then she would see what would happen, maybe she could just find a part time job and a little apartment to stay.
It didn’t take her a lot time to find a hotel although the whole area seemed to be dangerous, this part of the town wasn’t the best one. But she didn’t have any other choice. She couldn’t walk any longer and she was feeling tired, she wanted to sleep somewhere.
A nice old man welcomed her and gave a room without asking too much questions. Luckily she didn’t have to show him any ID since it was only for one night.
“If you need anything please call me.” He smiled to her and she nodded.
The room wasn’t as big as the old one in the mansion but it was comfortable. She placed her suitcase on the floor and sat down on the bed. She looked around, everything was simple and somehow she was already missing being in the mansion, she couldn’t back-out though.
The only thing worrying her was the baby. What she would do when he would be born. Ok she would take him to his grandparents but after that? She knew it would be difficult for her to raise a child alone, especially without having a steady income. So the best thing to do was to find a new family for the baby and Akanishi was the best, she was sure they would shower their dead son’s kid with love.
But first she should wait for her baby to be born and then she would take her final decision. She was feeling sad for thinking to give her baby away but if she wanted her son to have a better life she had to do it. She stroked her growing tummy lovingly.
“I’m sorry baby.” She whispered and she felt little move against her hands, a single tear ran from her eye.
She got up from the bed and opened the suitcase. She needed to find some more comfortable clothes and have a shower. The bathroom was warm and when she was done she laid at her bed. She cried herself to sleep.
“How could you let her go like that!” Jin’s father yelled. He was beyond furious with this son of his.
“What did you wanted me to do?! Lock her up?”
“Yes! How irresponsible can you be? Now because of you Akane is gone and your mother got a nerve attack.”
“Oh no…I’m not going to sit here listening accusing me like that.” Jin got up and went straight to his room ignoring his father shooting. He didn’t need this right; he was feeling even bad already.
He regretted saying those harsh words to Kame back in the car. Even if he was still sad with Ren’s death he had no right to let his frustration to her. Not after she comforted him when he was crying and needed someone to say everything would be fine. Although he was still thinking that there was something hidden behind her and he would discover it out sooner or later.
He should have shut his mouth but saying a bad thing when he looses his temper was a common thing and everyone knew that his tongue could be sharper than a knife.
Sensing that this guilt feeling wouldn’t go away any time soon he decided he should go and find her. Not only because he wanted to make his parents happy, also because he wanted to apologize to her. In reality he cared for her more than anything and he was already missing having her around.
He had finally realized what he felt back at the examination room while he was holding Kame’s hand and saw the baby for the first time, was love. That was the reason he got angry, angry because he had fallen for his brother’s wife, angry because he had let himself get trapped by something forbidden. And now he would make sure to fix this mess, he would take Kame back home even if that meant to drag her with him.
Kame woke up from a loud noise coming from downstairs, like people fighting. She slowly got up and approached the door; she unlocked and took a pick outside. Truly there was a fighting going on; someone was yelling to someone else something about being late at paying.
She quickly closed the door when she saw a huge muscular man coming upstairs. She locked it again and put a chair behind hoping it’ll protect her. She went to the bed and covered herself with the blanket up to the head. She was now regretting the minute she decided to step her foot there and she curled some more under the blanket wishing this would be over soon.
Jin was at his office walking up and down, he has been calling Kame several times but she has her phone turned off. Where the hell was she?! He needed to find her as soon as possible. He had no idea if she had money with her, if she is wandering around. And that was way too dangerous for a young pregnant woman. There was a gang at this area scaring people and offering them protection with money in exchange. If someone didn’t pay them that wouldn’t be good.
Kame flinched when she heard a loud knock at the door, she was scared and for the first time she wished Jin was there to help her. She started trembling badly when the one who was knocking managed to get in.
“Well…well…well what do we have here?” The man pulled the covers off her; he was the one she saw a while ago. “Hello there cutie. I’m sure we will have a lot fun.” It was clear that he was drank.
Kame tried to kick him but she failed, the man was much bigger than her and stronger. Before she could scream for help her mouth has covered by something. He tied her hands up to her head and her legs to the side of the bed. Her eyes widened in horror when she finally understood what he wanted to do to her.
No this couldn’t be happening to her…it was just a bad dream and she would be up soon.
She screamed when the man hovered above her and smirked.
JIIIIIIIN!!!! And the pain hit her.
Jin was driving from one hotel to another asking if anyone had seen Kame but none did. He was going crazy here not being able to find her and still her phone was closed. He had a feeling that something really bad has been happening to her and if that came true he wouldn’t forgive himself.
One more hotel was left to be searched in the area and it was his last hope. He turned his car to the right when he suddenly hit the break. Jin got off his car when he saw an ambulance blocking his way. He went to the parametric to ask what's happening when he heard them talking about some girl.
"Poor girl... what she was doing here alone."
"Maybe she ran away from home"
“What the fuck happened here?” Jin grabbed the collar of the nearest man; his heart was beating like crazy.
“Wow…easy there!”
“Tell me what the hell happened.”
“Police called us, they found a girl raped.”
“What?!” He felt like his legs couldn’t support him anymore. “Can…can I see her?”
“I’m sorry sir but you can’t, it’s against the rules.”
“Fuck you and your rules. I want to see her.” Jin yelled he didn’t give a shit to what the other was saying about rules and not allowed. He just wanted to see her and he would. He roughly pushed the other two to the side and ran upstairs. He stopped when he saw a couple policemen outside of a room. That must be where the girl was.
“Akane!!” Jin froze at his spot when he saw the view on front of him. There was Kame lying unconscious on the bed into a pool of blood, her body was bruised everywhere, even her face.
“Do you know her?”
“Yeah her name is Akane and she is… she’s… pregnant.” Jin couldn’t think properly anymore. His mind was completely blank; he didn’t know how to react. He cursed himself for not being able to find her earlier. He hated himself for not stopping her from leaving the mansion. And now…now she was barely alive.
“We need to take her to the hospital now…” He just followed them as they took Kame to the ambulance.
He didn’t care leaving his car unlocked there. All that mattered now was Kame and the baby. He didn’t let go off her hand not even once and he was whispering comforting words to her as he was stroking her hair.
It seemed like a century had passed when they finally arrived at the hospital. Kame was rushed the surgery while Jin stayed outside, he wasn’t allow to go inside with her.
Please help them…Ren…
After an hour a doctor came outside and Jin immediately got up from the chair.
“How is she?” He ran to him.
“Her condition is not good, she was beaten pretty badly and also… there is a high possibility the baby have died…”
“WHAT?!” This was just too much for Jin.
