[The journal starts recording as soon as it's shoved onto the ground. At first, there's only the sound of some papers being shuffled around, the personal notes Maryann has taken.]

So that was it, huh...? An experiment. My first one, and I didn't even get affected at all! I don't know if that's good or bad... [A sigh.]

I thought as much. I compared it to some of the earlier ones I've heard about.

Of course, it seems to be random from one experiment to the next whether you're affected or not, so missing this one doesn't guarantee you'll have to deal with a worse one later.
