i saw billy bragg yesterday. it was overpriced, but, i knew the second i saw the listing i was gonna fork it over. and also get all overly critical about it since i spent a lot of money. but it was very romantical! even though he played a lot of obscure cover songs no one knew, and some new songs, he did play a few favorites, and i was satisfied ( Read more... )

I think the Euros are just reveling in current events. They created such messes (inquisitions, slavery, colonialism, the holocaust, two world wars)over the last several centuries...now they can pick on us for sucking.

You spend years watching your bigger brothers constantly souping up their bikes, and then at some point they grow out of the phase, and then you finally get yours to how theirs were and they're all "hey man, thats sooo immature".

Some bartender in england tried pulling some of that america is entitled shit with me while I was there. I told him the only real difference between here and home was that people spoke differently and their money was different colors.

Shopping malls, huge stores, fast food, comfort. Turns out they all arent living in small 1790 era english villages after all!

Diana said that he played near norfolk the other night. She couldnt go because she was working, but then he came into her coffee shop!! And she was painting one of the walls, so she sent me this picture of her and him posing with paint rollers! Its pretty sweet.

I really like Billy bragg, so I am glad you got to go.

but I agree with John, they need to shut up. The truth of the matter is British people are ambitious, lying, self-serving pricks who had their empire taken away from them and so now they have a false modesty in order still be able to act superior to every other nationality.
