my grandmother's funeral was friday. the whole thing was really surreal and seeing her sisters so upset was very sad. i feel like everyone was really shocked and shook uput i don't feel at all shocked...i have felt certain she was going to die "soon" since may.

and because of this my sister was in dc for five days, which was actually nice.

yeah. I never know how to act when someone who's been ailing for a while finally dies. it's not a surprise and quite often its a relief of some hard suffering. But still.
