Hello, all you lovely people.

Do you know anyone (yourself included) who prefers voice-activation over keypad response to prompts in automatic telephone customer service systems?

I was going to say, "Not I," until I read the comments and found the very valid point about phones with keypads in the handsets, in which case I like neither choice.

I hate talking to robots. I would much rather communicate in their own language of bleeps and bloops.

They can be useful but not always the most efficient. Bell's system seems decent. Other ones I'm not so sure.

I like them, but that's because I enunciate really clearly and I'm far more likely to mistype numbers.

That being said, I really like systems that are voice or number, because I find the menu mapping is still logical, rather than some bizarre esoteric contraption.

I like buttons when Im on a real phone but if Im on a cell prefer voice. Voice is getting better but still needs some work (hello rogers are you listening)
