My philosophy on the "mortal enemy"

It seems that everyone who i've sheepishly talked to about my mortal enemy, can relate to my situation, or already have a mortal enemy of their own. Usually, in the cases i've studied, mortal enemies are a reflection of oneself or what one aspires to be. In my case mortal enemism stemmed from jealousy. I wish i could sugar coat the term and say

Wow, Carol, be glad that you're not here in Taiwan, because here, the girls here are also more Chinese than you are ;) . I'm just joking. Well, no, they are more Chinese, but that's because I'm in Asia. I don't have a mortal enemy as such, but I think I know what you mean. I have run into similar characters in my life, but don't have that one, single object of despise in my life. Maybe that's what I'm missing. . . hmmmm. I'll have to look into that.
