The parking space line is one of my favorite Angelus/Spike moments (of many!)
Also re: Jenny asking Willow to teach--it isn't totally unheard of. I had a friend in high school who would often be asked to take over chem classes if a teacher was going to be late. It's because they can't legally cancel class, but also don't want to pay a sub for half a period...
Buffy tells Joyce that Angel was the first. Any evidence that that's not true? The Buffy character has sex in the movie, right?
yes, well...
joss walked away from the movie if you will recall. in fact-most buffy fans i know don't even accept the movie as canon cos of joss' not having much to do with it far beyond the concept.
IMHO-even though i can appreciate the movie for what it is, i always think of BtVS beginning with welcome to the hellmouth.
(oh yeah, and hi! ive been reading this forever, but i think this is the first time ive commented)
Yeah, but the movie is referenced a few times, like when they say she burned down the gym, and she says something along the lines of "but it was full of vamp - asbestos!" I'm sure there were other references that I can't think of now.
I agree that the movie left much to be desired. (well, everything in fact) It is good for several laughs (pee-wee herman) for one and it is the first time you can hear some of the dialog that is pure Joss. Anyway Angelus no matter what is going on is incredibly sexy. If it wasn't for all the blood shed and mayhem he would be the perfect bad boy.
"but it's almost like Angelus is Angel's true nature. Angel is evil and his soul just keeps him guilty. I guess that's what "passion" is. Like our core essense. Angel's passion is evil while Spike's passion is love. "

actually, that's a reference to joss' original script-kind of a poke at the rewrites-cos the gym never actually burned down in the movie.

Yeah, the movie is almost impossible to reconcile with the show.
