It'd be interesting to see a fanfic visiting the subject of a slayer battling some sort of terminal disease/illness/virus/etc (cancer, AIDS, etc. I had a discussion with one girl about how a disabled slayer would be an awesome fic idea. And it would be.)
Joyce and Giles would have been fantastic together. I just love them. Then poor Giles would have lost another love, though...
I would be concerned if California didn't have Krispy Kremes.
My friend has only seen a few episodes of Buffy, and Killed By Death is one of them. She says it freaked her the fuck out. I told her Hush is even creepier and she seemed uneasy to even think about it.
Yeah, the "Normal Again" Buffy-was-institutionalized turn of events drives me nuts. I have officially decided that she never really was institutionalized, and the whole story about how she was was just another fabrication created by the demon to make her delusions seem more real.
In a completely unrelated note, Xander has the best lines in this episode. "Yeah, but if I see a floating pipe and smoking jacket, he's down."
I've heard a theory that the being institutionalized was a memory that came with Dawn. I don't know why the monks would give her that memory, but maybe? maybe they had to give her something bad to balance out the good?
Oh I like that! Or many the monks were feeling guilty for the burden Buffy had to bear, so they were giving her an "out". I guess that doesn't really mesh with protecting the key, though...
I wonder if a slayer has ever died of natural causes... like cancer or the flu.
Highly unlikely. Given that by seventh season Buffy was supposedly older than any other slayer ever had been, I think very few lived to die of natural causes. Also, if you get sick and you go out slaying, you're going to die a bloody death.
That episode creeped me out too. There are only a handful of Buffys that are actually scary IMO. There's Hush of course, and the one with the spider-like guy who crawls on ceilings. The one the got me the most was that troll like guy who peeled off and ate people's skin. I just plain hated that. Way too much. It made me sick.
You have a temperture really high and so you see things and talk about imagined things. That is how Giles played it off. I guess you had to be paying attention in order to catch that huh? Cordy is always talking about things that make know sense to anyone else. It's just par for the course.
Yeah, I heard him say that, but if Buffy had really been institutionalized for talking about vampires in the past, I think Joyce would have had a different reaction, temperature or not.
That was a dream series she had. They were trying to get her not to believe in the people around her and had her thinking she was crazy. She forgot (mom-joyce) as soon as the gang and buff pulled her out of it. So it was like it never happened.

In all fairness, if he looks like Abe, maybe he isn't the creepy one. Maybe it was our beloved president that started it.
