aw bb ;--;♥

I know that's how things should be, you can't give the students a grade they didn't deserve! But I'm still too softhearted and kind of try to find merit where there is none. One of my groups (the one I graded last today) is actually only the students who need extra help and push and we've been trying to get through the very basics while the other groups learn more advanced stuff. I've really enjoyed working with them!

haha and I'm sure you're amazing at what you do. Sometimes it's really necessary to be a bitch. Being strict as a teacher is good, as long as one's fair.

It makes no sense to be strict when it's just to be mean! The purpose of a teacher is to make the students learn, not to make their life a living hell. I agree with you, being strict helps them grow and do their best!

I might've been just lucky :D But this is what I've always wanted to do, and I do believe I can handle the job.

Giving a bad grade isn't a bad thing - if it's deserved. If you can say to yourself "this is, seen professionally and objectively, bad work", then there's nothing wrong with marking it accordingly. At least that's what I think... But I'm not a teacher, so maybe I can't even grasp the importance of it all that well. I would probably be sucked into everything too emotionally to give any grades, lol. I'm so good x)

But one of my teachers said the same thing as you, and I think it is absolutely true: "Being strict as a teacher is good, as long as one's fair."
If you're unfair/unobjective, people will know and they will accuse you of it, especially young people will start disliking you. So yeah, I think you're building on a perfectly good principle.

You're completely right! The thing is, if I know the student is really trying hard but still gets bad grades, it's sad to have to give a bad one. But there's nothing one can do, they can't get marks they didn't deserve.

It's the most important thing to be fair, always! Especially with teenagers since it's really important to them, too. Plus it's a good principle in the world in general :)

Thank you :D It really is awesome. hahaha although my students don't exactly know jrock or kpop. Some know jrock but not many XD

Only two more workdays after today (and two hours left of today!) so I think I'll survive~ I hope at least, haha. Not feeling very well right now.

Oh good luck for that! :D haha and of course you can fangirl forever, you just might need to do something else in addition to it x)

I don't really know! Last time I heard he was just taking it slow, still. But might be something new came up and I missed it. haha but you're right, in tabloids it's still the same old same old XD They never learn!

XD, I just, i don't know, ended up here, and read (I kinda feel like a stalker) But it's really interesting, and, as a student, I understand what you mean, giving a bad grade isn't cool (receiving a bad grade is not cool at all!) but when it's deserved, you can't do anything about it. Some of my teachers are really strict in their correction, but honestly, I'm grateful, because you learn of your mistakes (I never thought I'll say this).

ps: I'm really sorry if there are istakes, English is not my native language, and I'm not really fluent so...

haha, hi stalker! /waves

Yeah, thinking of it rationally I know it's good to be strict but it still breaks my heart when I know a student tried SO HARD and still got everything wrong :( But it's how it is, one can't give grades out of nothing.

Don't worry, your English is perfectly understandable! It's not my first language either, anyway :D

I understand, I really do, but like you said; you can't give grades out of nothing. If teachers could give grades out of nothing, students would be lazy, and it wouldn't be faire for those who work really hard.

*I can't believe it, I'm a student, and I'm saying that....*

that's true! there has to be realism to the scale :)

haha but it just means you're a clever student! you know how the world works ;) that's a good thing, definitely.
