[ Personality ] :
The first thing that would more than likely strike people most about Kyouko at first would be how blunt she is. She isn’t afraid to give an opinion of the situations or people around her, and will do it with great amusement most times. She had been a magical girl for the longest after Mami’s death, and she felt like that carried over in experience when it came to those sorts of things. She didn’t believe that Sayaka was cut out to be a magical girl at first, even attempting to fight the girl to make her believe it. She was both dismayed and irritated at the fact that Sayaka wouldn’t give up, which made her ambitions to defeat her even stronger. Kyouko thought she was right about it - and she wasn’t going to give it up.
The second thing that would be noticed right off the bat is that generally Kyouko’s eating something. This stems from the fact that she nearly starved before becoming a magical girl, but now she tends to have food in her mouth the majority of the time in canon. When Sayaka threw the apple on the floor, Kyouko got angry, telling the girl that if she wasted food she’d kill her. Since she knows just how valuable things like that are, she’s very touchy to see it go to waste. Even then she picked the apple off the floor and dusted it off for later.
Kyouko’s also very selfish. She openly tells Sayaka basically that it’s every girl for herself, unless she wanted to get hurt. She only looks out for herself; at least at the beginning of her appearance in the anime. Why would she depend on others, after people had hurt her so badly? No, in her mind she only should look out for herself, and that’s why she figured that she had stayed alive so long. It was self-preservation.
In reality, her wish that made the contract with Kyuubey was the opposite of how she ended up. Her only goal was to make her father happy. Her family was starving, her father was cast out as if he was some sort of crazy person. She just wanted her father to be heard and respected in the church again. So she had made the contract - her wish being that her father would get supporters again. However, when he found out about it he killed himself and the rest of her family, only leaving her behind.
Thus began Kyouko’s cynicism of the world. It was after that point that she forced herself to live by her own rules, no matter what.
But then she got to know Sayaka. What had begun with enemies became what Kyouko thought of as a friendship. It was an odd friendship, and maybe one sided in some ways, but Sayaka opened her eyes again to what it would actually be like to care for people. So when Sayaka turned into a witch, Kyouko wanted to do whatever it took to help her. She appealed to Madoka, a move she later regretted as it only put her in danger. In the end she did a very un-Kyouko-like thing - she sacrificed herself to beat the witch that was Sayaka so that Homura and Madoka could get away.
But even though she’s overly prideful and selfish, she’s not really a bad person. At the most, she’s a little rough around the edges, at least at first. All of these things mentioned above are just how she is on the outside - but since her family’s death she hadn’t let anyone see that deeper and (slightly) kinder side to her.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :

+ one of the more powerful and seasoned of the other girls
+ when someone gets to know her, she is very protective of them.
+ confident in her abilities
- While this could be considered a good thing, this can also be a bad thing. There is such a thing as overconfidence.
- Food
- Has a hard time accepting others.
- A little on the abrasive side sometimes.
[ Other Important Facts ] :
Kyouko's weapons are a spear that she can elongate into a chain, and she can put up barriers. She's also very light on her feet and can climb buildings by jumping back and forth on the walls.
Like the other girls, she has her Soul Gem, that allows her to change into a magical girl. This gem can't be separated from her after a certain length, or else she'll become soulless. (the gem is her soul)
