After Halloween, when the stores are having their discount candy blowouts, you can always count on there being candy corn. ALWAYSWhy do they make so much of it? Why do stores buy so much, knowing that 90% of it will be festering on the shelf alongside the newly-stocked Christmas crap? There's even candy-corn-flavored m&m's! I'm not a candy corn fan, but I got a bag of those m&m's for a weekly kids games event I run, and you would not believe what a strong smell they have.

Oriental Trading Company usually has some pretty demented Christian stuff in with all the generic party favors and so on ... one time they even sent me a catalog of Australia-themed vacation bible school products.

Though after last year's miraculous luck (didn't hear the song at all) and knowing that's not likely to repeat, I might just self-infect a la measles party and get it over with.

And to add to your dislike of the plethora of candy corn, there are candy corn flavored oreos.

The best of both worlds. Or something.
