Have a Birthday in January or February?

Your Chinese zodiacal sign may be different than you think; the placemats in restaurants (indicating year & animal) are not a reliable indicator. Chinese New Year is based on a lunar calendar and varies year to year relative to the Western calendar. Here’s a handy reference resolving it to individual days: Leave a comment

My family is tired of me telling them that I was born (on the last day) in the year of the rat when it contradicts the placemat.

Or maybe they're just tired of me telling them.

But...but...rats are awesome!

Okay, maybe not as awesome as dragons, but still pretty awesome.

I got stuck with monkey. Eww. Poo-flinging monkeys!

Yeah. It's unfortunate that I'm a Monkey, regardless, having been saddled with a 1968 and an April birthday. Stupid parents apparently chose the wrong week to stop sniffing glue or something.

On a happier note, apparently Monkeys get along really well with other Monkeys. I guess we fling poo and laugh about it or something. But god forbid a Monkey meets a Pig. The only thing the zodiac says about it is, This is BAD".

My only question is, "Bad like end of the world bad, or Bad like kill all humans bad"?

Also, my particular Year of the Monkey is that of the Earth Monkey. So poo colored all around.
