Had a hankerin’ for Togo’s #24 Turkey & Avocado sub. You can probably figure out what goes on that. Had to go back to the counter to ask for the avocado.

By the same token, going anywhere in California that serves sushi and asking for something without avocado automatically earns you a look of deepest loathing and disgust, as if you've just asked for a baby butt sandwich with extra diarrhea.

Avocado is fine in its place. I can't eat it because it's like eating lard that makes my mouth itch and leaves a weird filmy coating on my tongue that could probably work as protection against medieval torture, but it seems if you live in California you MUST love the stuff. Achtung!
