So I woke up late this morning.. I remember hitting the snooze button once or twice, then suddenly I wake up and it's 10:30am. All I can figure is I must have missed the snooze button and hit the "off" button instead. Grumble ( Read more... )

Well, to be honest I wasn't, really, because BGI was doing better than everybody else, and because my position seemed pretty secure, especially since I was in the middle of a couple of projects which everybody (including the really high up folks) were focused on as being really important to the company. Everybody I've talked to at BGI (including my boss) was really surprised that I got the axe for similar reasons. They had mentioned that they might have to lay some people off, but I was figuring I was pretty safe for at least the first couple of rounds, since there seemed to be a lot of other positions less immediately important to the business..

Oh well.
