On one of my cooking communities, someone posted a question a while back about what gadgets or gear you can't live without in your kitchen. That's gotten me thinking about some of the things I use all the time. There are the basics, of course; the items that come in handy on a day to day basis.

Birthday Thoughts
My birthday is coming up. Trying not to think about how old I'm getting...

I fired up my old computer today to get something off of it, and got sucked into my old iTunes playlist. One of the songs is a fairly obscure country song that - with a couple of minor changes - could have been written for me, especially now. I really do weep for our civilization. I've become more and more horrified at the utter lack of logic and reasoning I've been seeing on the boards and blogs lately. I've watched otherwise fairly intelligent people take news articles that are CLEARLY twisting facts to support a foregone conclusion and holding them up as fair and unbiased - mostly ( Read more... ) -

I think these are the first pictures I've ever even seen of the two soldiers. They've been SUPER secretive about them; I suppose not wanting to endanger them, or maybe to be seen as exploiting the fact that they're serving. Or something.
Still, was cool to see them.
