I just moved in May, from the suburbs to the city.

Wonderfully told. The neighbor from HELL. One that lingers after they moved. I'd have been afraid too. No one has the right to tell you not to smoke on your balcony. You were nicer about it than I would have been. I'd have complained about how I was allergic to her dog and she needed to get rid of it. POST-IT-NOTE "Your dog is killing me".

Well done.

I thought about blowing smoke directly into our vents, but decided I didn't want to get evicted. :-)

Ugh. Nothing quite like an evil neighbor to ruin a good apartment. Been there done that. :P

Seeing as cheshire23 and I shared that evil neighbor, and said evil neighbor pushed the button that sent me into inpatient, I absolutely sympathize here. He happened to be a Nazi collector and had a room dedicated to it in his basement apartment. He would bang on our floors (his ceiling) with a baseball bat anytime he heard us walking above him. He destroyed his apartment in the process. He even would shut off our power since the building's breakers were across from his door. It was hell and I still get flashbacks if someone's banging around me in a similar fashion.

Good, well written entry.

Holy..... That is beyond frightening. Some people are just too scary to deal with. Glad you're not dealing with it any more.
