I had an anonymous comment to my last entry that kind of freaked me out. I'm afraid that someone I know has somehow found my journal. Even if they don't know me, the comment was anonymous and that freaks me out, too. Since the main reason I love this place is the total anonymity it affords, I've gone friends only from here on out. When I've had scares (or paranoid moments) like that, I tend to go back and make all my old entries friends-only for my own peace of mind. I hear that now paid users can access some tool to do that automatically, but in the past I've used the tool at http://hidejournal.livejournal.com/, which works as well and is free.

Thank you for that. While I am most likely being unneccessarily paranoid, the comment kind of hurt my feelings, which is something I don't want to associate with this particular outlet. Am I a big baby or what? :-)

I don't think you're being paranoid or a big baby. I've made my journal mostly friends only from the start because I just don't feel comfortable sharing my personal life with anybody and everybody. I definitely don't want most of the people I know in the rest of my life reading what I write, nor do I want people I know nothing about reading about me.

This sounds impossibly creepy, but I've been reading for a while (came over from fatshionista) -- I really enjoy your writing, and the continuing saga of Mr. Wonderful. If you wouldn't mind me adding you, that would be great. If not, I understand completely!
