[Heather's leaning back dangerously under the weight of the giant bird (whose mass is, admittedly, mostly feathers, but still. That's a lotta bird), who is beating her wings gently for balance as she leans in for cuddles. She's been cooped up in that Pokeball for awhile-- ever since Snake disappeared. She was lonely.]

Someday Lisa's gonna grow up and look like THIS!

[Yesterday had actually been Envy's last day working at the Pokemart, so if they'd gotten there a day or two earlier it might well have been him handing her package over. But right now he's just out to pick up some supplies for his upcoming trip to Olivine.]

[Heather looks up distractedly at the sound of Envy's voice. OH! OH HEY. She hasn't seen you in person in awhile!]

[Melancholy over losing Snake aside, reunions are happy occasions-- whether they're with old friends' Pokemon, or old friends themselves.]

[Envy grins, even at the nickname. Reunions are one of those happy things Envy's come to appreciate in Johto. He walks up to her; the Togekiss may be huge but it also looks like the personification of cuddles and happiness, so he's not nervous of it.]

And here I thought I'd escaped that nickname. Did you just get into town?

The only way you could escape that nickname'd be to get a crew-cut.

... And then I'd just need to call you Shrub-Head.

[No worries about the Togekiss-- she pretty much IS cuddles and happiness personified. And even waddles a few steps over to peer soulfully at him.]

But yeah, I just strolled in like... fifteen minutes ago. Had to stop at the mart before going to the inn.

[She can guess what all this means, she's concerned, but remembering that things like this are frequent occurance in this place she tries to keep a positive face instead when she greets Heather.]

[Yeah... It's not that Heather's not feeling the ache of loss right now. She most certainly is, and no amount of disappearances will ever change that. But... it is normal around here. And... she's just glad that she has a bit of him to remember him by. Like Pinky the Slowbro for James, and Butch the Quagsire for Phoenix...]

[It never gets easier, finding out that someone is gone. The only thing that really does is accepting the individual's disappearance over time.]

Yeah, it does. It doesn't really make it any easier though. [But at least Johto gives them all a chance to know them. She wishes she could say their lives back home were better for it, but Johto doesn't seem to let them keep memories of their time here either.

Which sucks.]

[The Togekiss turns her head. It's hard to smile with a beak (especially when the beak is mostly obscured by FLUFF), but she manages it. HELLO.]

[Heather's own smile, meanwhile, grows a little more subdued. Not unhappy... this, after all, isn't quite as much like the disappearance of Phoenix... or god forbid, the awful winter night when her own father's departure had been confirmed... She's sad, but... well, it's bittersweet. At least Snake left her something to remember him by.]

[And if she doubted him at all, the sound of Hayate's voice makes the Togekiss in question edge in front of the screen, letting out a quiet trill. That's good enough for Heather.]

Yeah, he was... a real good friend. Always looked out for me. Did you... know he was gone?
