[So what's the best thing for someone who's been spending their time alternately fretting and pretending not to be fretting over circumstances well beyond their control

If we're both gonna be in the tournament, we're gonna be in the same place, right? You can finall-- HEY! Dude, you could like... totally show me some stuff before all the fights start, y'know! Like practice lessons! Dude!
[There's a little sheep trailing behind you Heather. Well okay he's bigger than you are, but he's QUIET like a sheep. He's fumbling with one of the buttons on his shirt and looking more unsettled than he normally is.]
[8c W-WAT IF SHE GOT HER NECK BROKEN OR SOMETHING. Didn't she know there were alien robot soldiers in this place?]
[Henry tries to come up with a good counter argument against Heather's wishes to join the tournament but after almost worrying the button off his shirt he comes out with,]
[oh boy. Here we go. SAUNTERING ON UP BEHIND HIS CHAIR.]
Daaa-aaaaaaaaad .... ?
[You should recognize this tone, Harry. It's the tone that means she wants to do something that you will probably not approve of but is actually taking the time to try and CONVINCE you rather than just running off and doing it. You have heard it many times.]
Oh hell yeah. [He's grinning, has a bo-ken resting on his shoulder and still has some of his slightly roughed-up gear on - apparently sparring with a Garchomp leads to the pads getting chewed up, who knew?]
Not that I don't mind trainin' th'team or anythin', but I missed actually gettin' a chance t'be out on the field myself, an' who knows what people from other worlds are gonna come up with!
[You have never seen someone so enthusiastic about the possibility of getting his ass beaten in new and unusual ways.]
I mean, okay, the whole Pokemon-battle thing's grown on me a bit since I got here, but... nothing replaces just... GETTING in there and doing the job yourself, y'know?
[It's not that Heather likes HAVING to fight, but... she does like fighting. It gets the blood pumping.]
No kidding. I love gettin' t'teach, don't get me wrong, but I didn't get t'be Taisho back home just by sittin' on th'sidelines. Nothin' quite like th'challenge, eh?
[Actually be careful of what you say, he's adapted sword technique to pipes, crowbars, and stray pieces of wood before, he might be compelled to try and teach a few tricks.] An' I'd be lyin' if I said I wasn't curious how I'd measure up t'the people who do it for a living back where they're from.
A lot of us aren't used to this whole 'oh let's make animals do all the fighting for us' thing, y'know?
[Of course, Heather has... no idea that she's talking to the anthropomorphic representation of Soviet Russia. She sort of just assumes he's some ... random Russian guy.]

[Needless to say, Heather's a little too overwhelmed with enthusiasm to notice her compadre's fretting right off the bat.]
--and it's probably only for like, a week and a half or so, so I wouldn't even be gone that long and stuff--

I would be a fool to pass this up~

[It's okay, though, Heather's pretty confident, too. You don't kill God and not have a little smugness about your scrappin' skills.]
Mmhm. It's been too long since I was able to punch something that wasn't an inanimate object. Gotta make up for lost time.

[Because just over a month is apparently far too long for soviet to be peaceful.]
