I was kinda surprised and then kinda upset I didn't bring an actual coat instead of my zip up hoodie thing. Overall though from what part of the city I saw it seems like a nice place! Then again I was really in a 2 mile radius at any given time
Mostly I was there for company stuff. So 90% of my time was either in the Teavana corp. Office, or in one of the stores selling stuff. I did get to go to the aquarium which was amazing and got to walk through the Olympic park. The rest of the time was spent mostly at the hotel, either drinking, watching sporting games and drinking, or sitting in a hot tub...
There were 19 other people there (18 after someone had to go home for medicial issues) and I became friends with several of them. The cool thing about Teavana is that it tends to attract the stranger side of people so we all got along pretty well ;D
I also did an awesome cupping with the founder and learned a lot about the quality of our tea which to me was one of the highlights of the trip!
Next time I go down there I want to actually tourist and see that strange monument that I can't remember the name of right now but it was to far away
WHY DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS SOONER? :c I would have totally drove the 1-2 hours to go see you.
I wish we had a Teavana here in Macon/Warner Robins. I'm always raiding my friends' cupboard for it when I visit, lol! Seems like anyplace in Georgia besides Atlanta is completely shafted when it comes to tea...
And yes, when it's cold here it's actually worse than the cold in Colorado. We went skiing in 23 degree weather after Christmas in CO when I was visiting my parents. It didn't seem nearly as cold as 34 degrees feels here. I think it's the humidity, it makes ALL temperature changes WORSE, not just heat.
