(Well, except the idea of having them spar to work off steam is brilliant, and the conversation ripped my heart out but sounds exactly like what they would say...)
I love Dean but absolutely, he's been completely unreliable in what he wants done, and he's throwing out information that could be so valuable - sure there could be some outlying danger behind it, but when you're already one step away from being a mass-murdering demon who'll kill his brother, you seriously won't let the others look into it??? AND you suggest Sam just babysit your demon side if you turn for... what, forever???
Yeah, he's been especially rough these last few seasons, right?? He always had his usual butthole moments earlier on, but his heart of gold was a little easier to see then... Now IDK. I hope he starts learning not to be a butt. I'm prayin' for a redemption moment for him so we can get the earlier seasons Dean back even a little.
This is powerful and very true. Somehow it's like we've taken a turn and come right back to Fresh Blood, or Point of No Return-- Dean giving up, Sam stepping up. I just wish they'd work together, this time at least, but probably won't happen ;)
Yeah, it does feel like that, huh? I know Dean says he's not just giving up, but it sure feels like that when he's said he'll just keep going until the Mark beats him... And he can't die. And he'll kill people!! HIS people! Come on, Dean, shape up! I hope Sam can get some sense into the boy. That or they'll paint Sam as being bad for not burning the book, even though it's the most logical step. Sigh. :/
Maybe, but he's sort of dealing with a book that has centuries old spell work in it, and while Sam's crazy smart he likely would have a hard time translating and working with an ancient book written in Sumerian code WHILE figuring out spells, haha. Their team-ups with villains usually have a 50-50 shot at being okay, and they HAVE teamed up successfully with baddies in the past... We'll just have to see.
I think Rowena will double cross, but there's always - will the benefit outweigh her inevitable betrayal, and will Sam predict it well enough to combat it? It's up in the air Til I get the full episode on Wednesday!! :)

Dean is making no sense and is being utterly unfair on Sam. Poor Sam who Dean expects to fight forever in a life he didn't choose.
