Aww! I remember reading the first part of this awhile ago and enjoying it, and this was a great follow-up. I'd adore more in this series, but even just these two fics are really well-done. I like Piper's worries about Tony being there and what relationship their child will have with him, and I loved his reactions and how he tries to be there. A nice realistic and sweet fic. Great job

Thanks so much for the kind comment! I've been working on this on-and-off basically since the day after I posted the first installment, so it feels pretty awesome that it's getting a good response. :)
I also appreciate your feedback on posting. AO3 has some issues, for sure, but I do like some of the features, and I've definitely been enjoying the "subscribe" function to follow WIPs. I never really got on board with FFN, since it tended to seem easier to find higher-quality fic on some of the fandom-specific archives that I liked than on FFN.
Anyway, now I'm reminiscing about first being introduced to fanfic via newsgroups when I was a middle-schooler in the late 1990's, and wondering if anyone else remembers Usenet fondly (or remembers Usenet at all, for that matter, haha).
I like FFN because, well, I've been there for over a decade now, so nostalgia, I guess? I guess my main gripe about AO3 is the inability to just open the most recent chapter of a fic, and maybe it's just me, but I have a hard time using their sorting system. They seem to have a lot of repeating tags, and if you click more than one criteria, either you get a huge mess of fics that don't include the main fandom you're reading in, or the reply that none exist with ALL the tags included. So, while, I dunno, a Glee/Avengers/Iron Man/Batman/Indiana Jones cross-over might be amusing and all, I'm not particularly surprised that it doesn't exist, nor was I looking for it -- I was just looking for cross-overs of, say, Avengers with Glee or Batman, not both at the same time.
But hey, I should check out the subscribing feature.
Isn't Usenet getting popular again, though? I've never used it, but I see it mentioned now. iRC has sort of waned and Usenet seems to have taken its place.
Yeah, the AO3 tag system is a bit much sometimes. I like that it's flexible, but it's almost too flexible, and the searching/sorting isn't quite where it needs to be. (btw, the idea of a Glee/Avengers/Iron Man/Batman/Indiana Jones crossover made me laugh and develop a slight headache at the same time ;) ).
Isn't Usenet getting popular again, though? It very well could be and I'm just unaware, since the fandom newsgroups I used to follow have been pretty dead for years and I haven't really looked beyond that.
