Fiorentina’s chief medical officer put down his notes and looked around the consultation room, taking in the variously uncomfortable, guilty or aggressive faces of Riccardo Montolivo, Alberto Gilardino, Juan Manuel Vargas, Stevan Jovetic, Lorenzo di Silvestri, Mario Alberto Santana and Sebastien Frey. Really, he thought, he was getting too old for these things; perhaps there would be an opening for a medic at Inter, or Parma... no, that would just make things worse.
Abandoning the attempt to make the best of the situation, he sighed and asseverated, “No. For the thousandth time: you cannot ingest Sibutramine via Adrian Mutu’s semen.”
