Something wakes me up and I drowsily reach for Cristiano wanting to curl up against him. But instead of his warm body, my arms encounter tangled sheets and empty space.
The alarm clock tells me it’s just past six. Since when does Cris get up this early?
I crawl out of bed, still sore from our last night’s reunion after weeks spent apart.
The kitchen is a mess, and in the middle stands Cristiano covered in pancake dough, tears in his eyes.
I pull him close and my lips cover his. Coffee and Cris is more than enough for breakfast.
