Among other things, I watched lurcher races.  And terrier races.  And....

You need the sound on to really get the atmosphere ;-)

Drat; my computer won't play the file. Lurcher's are big dogs, right? I can only imagine watching them run. *g* Have you seen any of the competitions called Fly Ball? Hilarious!

Yes, lurchers are usually quite big - often Greyhound crosses, or Salukis.  Even Wolfhound or Deerhound! 0.o

You can get small ones, though - Bedlington/Whippet crosses and suchlike.

If you look at this thread you'll see a few still photos of lurchers running.  Not quite so mad as the video - which is of Afghan hounds racing!

Actually, there are a couple of shots of the Affie race here, and here too - and pics of lots of other dogs. Enjoy *g*  (I bet you wish you hadn't asked now, don't you? lol)
