I got back from Belize Saturday night. Yesterday's vacation hangover was surprisingly light and quickly passed. Usually just getting out of my pajamas to shower and dress seems to take a Herculean effort. I bounced back pretty easily, though--enough so that I suspect it wasn't the aftereffects of travel itself that I was feeling but just the fact

Thanks! I enjoyed jotting down my thoughts and kept wishing I had more time to write while I was there. Friday night would have been ideal for a recap, but I had to handle the monstrous task of playing extreme Tetris to get everything to fit into two carry-on items.

And--oh my god--after packing my roller bag to the fullest I was selected for an additional security check at the airport. I was dreading the possibility that my suitcase would be ransacked and I'd have to scramble to repack it. Thankfully the security agent was pretty easygoing and barely even rummaged through it. I guess I don't give off sociopath or violent extremist vibes.
