There Goes The Last DJ

I'm stealing this idea from Lilly. There aren't going to be many songs, and they aren't about any one person or anything. This is just a good idea. I like it.

1. Extreme "More Than Words" - This is a song from my childhood. I don't know what it was about this song, but it caught my heart.

2. The Righteous Brothers "Unchained Melody" - Another song from my childhood, it's like a lullaby. A song that i would dance in from of the microwave in the kitchen to.

3. Phil Collins "You'll Be In My Heart" - Tarzan came out around the time we had to put my dog Coco to sleep. She had cancer and one day my dad just up and took her to the vet without telling anyone. She came home in a box. It was one of the most heartbreaking things a kid has to go through. When i hear this song i cried. And i still do 5 years later.

4. Bowling for Soup "The Star Song" - It's a really good feel good song. Just a reminder that you are who you are, you're beautiful the way you are. Not to change for anyone, just be yourself. You're good as you.

5. Green Day "Extraordinary Girl/Whatsername" - These are the two songs that will always remind me of Robbie. He LOVES Green Day, we both do. I think he likes that. But these are the two songs of theirs he made me listen to. I've been listening to Green Day a lot lately, but i think it's a comfort thing.

6. Her Space Holiday "My Girlfriend's Boyfriend" - My grandfathers funeral three months ago.

7. Jimmy Eat World "The Middle" - Honestly, who hasn't bopped along to this song. It's kind of like the star song, reminds you that you aren't alone, you'll make it through.

8. Train "Drops of Jupiter" - Reminds me of my friend Bekkah. I haven't seen her in a such a long time.

9. Billy Talent "Line and Sinker" - It's a very good 'Fuck You' song. That's what i think, and we all have those days.

10. Lynyrd Skynyrd "Red, White, & Blue" - My dad.

11. Alan Jackson "Remember When" - this song makes me cry for some reason, well maybe just get choked up. When I was younger Alan Jackson was my hero, i looked up to him and he was just my little girl heart's everything.

12. Tom Petty "Last DJ" - I am a big music nerd. I mean, music is freedom. If we took away that, playing whatever we wanted to play, saying what we want, we'd all be the same.

13. The Rolling Stones "As Tears Go By" - I grew up listening to oldies, i love them. This reminds me of my grandpa Dave.
