This was totally worth the price of admission. Didn't get there too early. We showed up at 4:30 and lined up. Turns out Grammy Museum members get in first so at 7 we wait for them to go in. We get into the theatre and wait another hour before they start off the event with na na na on a big projector. Then the guys come out and it begins. They talked a lot about the early stages of the band. Let me tell you it was surreal hearing Frank talk about my chemical romance from the outside, how it was before he joined. He said all the fans that say they are the biggest fans are wrong because he was the biggest (smallest) and first my chem fan. They talked about how 911 jump started the band, and how they felt looking at it as it was happening. Gerard mentioned other and how it started as them two trying to shape something. Gerard explained how vampires will never hurt you was the first song recorded and that hearing himself was like the best feeling ever. 'it was so fucking good' Haha I can not explain enough how amazing hearing them talk about how important each of them are. Not to mention Frank being an adoreable goofball and calling himself the bands Mr. Miagi.
I know I am missing a ton of things but I'm hoping it will be viewable online soon. I know the whole session was recorded so I hope it gets put up quick. After the hour and a half panel and q&a we had group shots with the band. Our plan was to be last in line to try and get one with our group of 5 alone. It worked. :D hopefully i'll be seeing that soon.
BTW Gerard now has short red hair. Think ghost of you hair... but on fire.
