we call that guy Joe Hat....I couldn't tell you why though. My sister must know. Maybe they are secret twins....shhhhh

Joe is called "Joehat" (yes, it's all one word) because when we first met him, he always wore a golf cap. And it was an easy way to distinguish him from out other friend Joe,who went by the name "Gustav." So come to think of it, I don't know why we felt the need to amend his name.

Nice post! I can't believe I missed you dancing. :( And I was totally unaware that you took a picture of me while I was fixing your watch. That's how intent I was on fixing it for you.
Don't feel bad about not understanding or being able to be understood at the table. The whole night our table was misunderstanding each other. At one point Karl spilled soda down my back and while he was standing behind me I turned sideways to talk to him and tell him "you'd fit in the trunk." Meaning I could fit him in the trunk as a punishment for spilling soda down my back and Mike thought I was telling his girlfriend (Nicky) that she would fit in my trunk. It was just not a good night for understanding people.

It looks like it was an awesome party! I can also see that you had a great time! I feel like a real loser for missing out on a friend's big birthday bash -- especially since I got nothing worthwhile accomplished last night. (even though I put in about six hours of work on my paper).

Oh, and just for the record, you don't have any problems with communication. Rather, your verbal faux pas have everything to do with the people you're talking to. If we can read what you say in any way that sounds inappropriate, we will. We think like we're trying to answer questions on the "Match Game."
