Dodging knives and forks and invisible snowplows

Pre-entry post script (added post posting): I've added a few more captures to my "anyone who's anyone eats ice cream sandwiches" entry a few posts down yonder. I'm almost, almost to the point of beginning to consider a tribute gallery of ice cream sandwiches in awesome corners of pop culture. Do they employ ice cream sandwiches because they are ( Read more... )

Oh, so that's what Flight of the Conchords is about. I've never watched it because I don't have movie channels but I've often seen people make reference to it online and wondered.

I *loved* Spaced, lol. I caught a marathon on BBC America one Saturday (and got nothing else done that day I might add) and thoroughly enjoyed it. I just deepened my love for Simon Pegg :D

Somewhat related but not really, lol... have you ever seen the movie "Once"? I rented it one day on a lark and it's one the best movies I've seen in a long time. I won't send you to Wikipedia cause they give too much away but IMDB gives a good summary. It's a really sweet, low-key movie with a fantastic soundtrack (in fact I loved it so much I requested and received it for Christmas). I think you'll like it. :)

To be honest, it's not all singing (there's 1-2 songs every episode). I think if you like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8cRtCIzIbI - you'll probably like the series (and I found a new non-singing clip and posted it above). Every episode details one week in the life of the band as they attend band meetings, try to score with girls, and remain hugely unsuccessful.

No, I haven't seen Once yet, but I've been meaning to. It's really difficult because I make it to the local rental shop approx. 2-3 times a year. I wasn't aware of the movie until they performed at the Oscars, and I was all, "Hey! Outspan just won an Oscar!" (because I've seen The Commitments a few hundred times).

I couldn't believe it was the same guy from The Commitments! I stared at IMDB in shock for a few second because I've seen that movie a dozen or so times and I totally didn't recognize him. Great movie, I love that one.

Get to the rental shop! *poke poke*. ;)

Wahhhh,I typed a fantastic response on your haikuery blog and it erased. Wahhhhh. I guess I'll retype it but won't be as fantastic.
I am attempting a similar version of your haikuery but I call it Photo 365. It entails taking one picture a day for the whole freakin year! I'm doing this instead of a baby album I think (because it will be in scrapbook format) because of course almost every picture will be of Elle. Anyhow I've already started. But if you can convince me maybe I'll do an abbreviated version on my blog! But you must convince me....come on, I know you can do it! Procrastinator!!!!!

Okay, okay! What do I have to do to convince you? Do I just go "Do it!", or do I do something like "Iiiiiiii conviiiiiiiiince yoooooooooou to doooooo iiiiiiit" while waving my hands magically? I'll do whatever it takes, (wo)man! I wanna see your pics!

Geez, I should probably do the same thing to get me out of my 340 day a year photography funk . . . but there are some days when the thought of touching my camera absolutely nauseates me. I really run boiling hot and freezing cold with that particular hobby.
