The entertainment value of a tap dancing oyster

One shouldn't bake without cutting one's fingernails first. Whenever I put my fingers in my mouth, I can taste all the cookies I've made in the past week.

My Christmas baking experience can be summed up thusly so far: how come you always hear the term "comedy of errors" but never the term "tragedy of errors"?

Having my own tragedy of errors....why the hell does my icing sugar have unsquishable lumps in it???? I've never sifted icing sugar in my life and I've never had lumps in my icing sugar. What's worse...it's now in my fondant and I have to build a birthday cake tonight. Boooooooo!!!!!

Blog in the moment baby. I find that if you blog in the moment, you can make a story about dropping an egg on the floor. How good are YOUR story telling skillz??????

You know, I'm kind of conflicted about the blogging in the moment thing. Because that feels like tweeting, which actually I'm not all THAT adverse to, but I don't want to be stuck in that trap where I'm going out of my way in my "real life" to look for content for my online life (Facebook, Twitter, Bloggery) instead of just enjoying real life as it happens. I don't want to be the written equivalent of someone who brings a camera to a concert in order to film THE ENTIRE THING. Those people drive me absolutely frickin' NUTS.

But on the other hand, sometimes you have a thought or an experience and there's no one around and it seems like kind of a shame to let it just evaporate into the ether.

But on the other mutant third hand, I'm a lazy procrastinator.
