kicking her thoughts - I like the description and it is very fitting because I know I do this with my own on a regular basis!
she kicks these thoughts without thinking about where she is sending them to again I can relate and I think this is what gets humans in trouble all too easily. my favourite lines of your work here.
among the death of her smiles keeps ringing in my mind. you can feel the finality of such a thing.
very strong and poignant ending.the last sad dance .. I can picture a lone dancer in a semi dark room all alone waltzing to a silent song until she stops in complete despair and exhaustion.
thank you for your comments. =) the visual for this poem was just a girl walking through the woods, crunching the leaves, and looking forlorn. i don't know what she was thinking about, but i knew that she knew that if she stopped walking there would be consequences. i don't know, this was a weird one for me.
i like it more today than i did last night, but it still doesn't hit me the way my other pieces do. humph.
the song (and of course the lyrics) is gorgeous. simply amazing. i can't even imagine having something i'd written put to music. i think i'd cry and cry over the sheer magnitude of it.
funny you should bring that up. i actually read that poem last night, while rooting through your memories. that line stuck with me and stuck with me and finally i just had to write it down and see what came after it. most of what i write has some sort of outside influence to it. a song, something someone else has written, or some other thing like that. just some set of words that hits me in just the right way.
i am about to listen to the song. thank you for sharing that with me.
