[Upstairs, in the room that Hotaru and Edward share:]

The door to the room opens without much effort, revealing a medium-sized room.

There are bunk beds off to the right, and a window, reminiscent of that on a space port, next to the top bunk. A small table to the left side contains a laptop.

The room is quite empty, otherwise.

Arithon sets her on the bed, and waits by the door. When Moiraine gets here, assuming she comes, he'll be out and gone. Its better that way.

Hotaru remains immobile, and pale.

Arithon remains on edge, and helpless.

*She comes to the door, slowly following the scampering Tashka. Moiraine looks in the room and sees Hotaru lying on the bed and Arithon standing by the door, and the Aes Sedai turns as pale as ash. Her voice is controlled, but there is a hint of strain in it.*

What has happened, that you would send for me?

Several minutes after Arithon leaves, Hotaru hears the scratching at the door.

She rises, and calls out, "Hello...?" before timidly pulling the door all the way open to see Ein at her feet.

She backs away from the doorway, far enough for him to come through, holding on to the side of the door to close it after him.

She turns and stares down at him, confused. Her hand still on the door, she looks away. She thinks to herself.

At length, the door begins to close, until it is open just a crack; she turns and approaches him, slowly.

In a move that may surprise him... or anyone she knows... she kneels by his side in one motion -- wrapping her arms around his furry body, and burying her face in his side -- and cries.
