That sounds really stupid. Is there a point to training it?

[He assumes there has to be, somewhere, beyond just...what's in the book about battles, which sounds frankly pointless if you're not going to achieve some end with it all.]

I read the book, but it still seems really crazy.

[She's seen 'em before, of course, in the Centers-- but somehow they just weren't as weird-looking when they had the cute little nurse hats on. Without those, you were just suddenly reminded that holy shit it's a gigantic egg with frills and limbs and it is walking towards you.]
