I just realized I haven't written at all here since I got the new job. Well, the temporary new job, but it will most likely last thru December and I'm pretty sure I can weasel my way into their hearts so they'll hire me. It's a small, non-profit office with a much too long name. They teach a lot of classes and put on a lot of events, which is ( Read more... )

Since I now have a weekly paycheck... my mood is mostly way up.

Same here. Also, I was startled at how much my self-esteem went up after I got a steady job. Money means more to me than I thought. And I'm glad to be earning it again.

Whenever I left jobs in the past and read over the COBRA info, it looked to be horribly expensive. I don't why the program exists when it costs so much. I think it would be cheaper for most people to just go to urgent care and pay out of pocket when they're ill, rather than trying to extend their insurance just in case they get sick.

The new administration is now supposedly covering half of the costs of COBRA, so it's a little bit better. But still wayyyy overpriced. Our main problem now is just making sure Andru has coverage *no matter what* so that he can't be denied in the future for lapse of coverage.

For me it's money AND doing something with my brain. Plus, I like organizing and being the hero when I'm able to help. :D

MRI bills suck! I am 1 more payment away from closing one of them out and then I am supposed to get another one in December. At least my insurance will cover part of it, but I'm sure I'll still get stuck with somewhere between $1000 - $1500 to pay. I hate having bad health. Ugh.

Andru has a $2000 deductible on just the MRI/X-ray tests alone. We've met that this year, along with his OTHER $2000 deductible. And that's just for this year. :/ Last year was just the one main $2000 deductible... oh yes, and the anesthesia bill.
