Using the power of the state to destroy someone's livelihood because they don't want to bake a cake is a totally different thing. That wasn't supposed to be what the struggle was for.

At its heart, yes. That's exactly what it was. It the middle finger to God saying, "We will NOT have You rule over us."
We don't necessarily have to always address it in those terms. There are secular arguments to be had for all these issues.
But when it comes down to it, whether they admit or or even recognize or not, that's what this was and is.

SSM has nothing whatseover to do with "equal protection". Before that decision, homosexuals already had the same protections under the law and the Constitution as anyone else.
That wasn't supposed to be what the struggle was for.
Of course it was. It was about social engineering. And it was about utterly CRUSHING anyone who disagreed.
I'm glad they are finally being open about it.

Who isn't? Homosexuals have, at least in all my adult memory, the same rights as anyone else under the law and the Constitution.

So do those against SSM.
I have lived in one of the most famous hubs of sexual identity variation in the country, had people of various gender identities, and preferences as friends and roommates, dated a lesbian for a while, argued in favor of SSM with friends and family(who, I can assure you, did not enjoy it as an intellectual exercise), and frequently been accused of being gay myself. This is my "team", and, in the 1990s, and oughts, I felt pretty good being on it.
And as you are now seeing for yourself, none of that matters to the Rainbow Crowd, unless you bow to their EVERY demand.
But, I have to admit, I am starting to get frustrated with the "gay agenda". Because it doesn't *stop*. There's always a "next thing", and the anger never throttles back. At most, it ( ... )
