My "team"

Nov 13, 2016 01:16

I am pro homosexual. I have been for a long time. I can't say always, because there was a time when I didn't know what it meant, and a time when I was uncomfortable about it. But since then, I have been in support of equal treatment. In support of Same Sex marriage. In support of people with different identities being treated like people. I ( Read more... )

I am in favor of equal protection for all and saw no issue in SSM.
Using the power of the state to destroy someone's livelihood because they don't want to bake a cake is a totally different thing. That wasn't supposed to be what the struggle was for.

For the useful idiots it wasn't. This whole issue is a way to erase God from our culture.

This whole issue is a way to erase God from our culture.

At its heart, yes. That's exactly what it was. It the middle finger to God saying, "We will NOT have You rule over us."

We don't necessarily have to always address it in those terms. There are secular arguments to be had for all these issues.

But when it comes down to it, whether they admit or or even recognize or not, that's what this was and is.

SSM has nothing whatseover to do with "equal protection". Before that decision, homosexuals already had the same protections under the law and the Constitution as anyone else.

That wasn't supposed to be what the struggle was for.

Of course it was. It was about social engineering. And it was about utterly CRUSHING anyone who disagreed.

I'm glad they are finally being open about it.

That's exactly what's happening. The militant ones don't want equality, they want absolutely everyone to obey them without question. Whoever was out of line has had their livelihoods over a cake or flowers, yet when they stage fake hate crimes and join riots, they don't get punished.

Maybe that's something that a trump presidency will pursue. We can hope for actual *justice* at least.

Hopefully. I also hope Black Lies Matter will finally be held accountable for their many crimes, as well as the hate crime fakers (faking hate crimes should be punished as severely as real hate crimes as it is defamatory).

I would say that more generally, falsely reporting a crime should be punished as though the false reporter had committed the crime accused.

But since then, I have been in support of equal treatment.

Who isn't? Homosexuals have, at least in all my adult memory, the same rights as anyone else under the law and the Constitution.

In support of people with different identities being treated like people.

So do those against SSM.

I have lived in one of the most famous hubs of sexual identity variation in the country, had people of various gender identities, and preferences as friends and roommates, dated a lesbian for a while, argued in favor of SSM with friends and family(who, I can assure you, did not enjoy it as an intellectual exercise), and frequently been accused of being gay myself. This is my "team", and, in the 1990s, and oughts, I felt pretty good being on it.

And as you are now seeing for yourself, none of that matters to the Rainbow Crowd, unless you bow to their EVERY demand.

But, I have to admit, I am starting to get frustrated with the "gay agenda". Because it doesn't *stop*. There's always a "next thing", and the anger never throttles back. At most, it ( ... )

So has any of your "teammates" had anything to say to this?

Lol! I no longer have any of them on this media, and am not brave enough yet to post it on FB.

I am working up to that.
