Well, all that means is that we're all going to have to make lifestyle adjustments. Do you really need to drive sixteen miles a day? Do you need to heat your house that much? The only way we're going to succeed is if we all make sacrifices.

For one, if we force everyone to live within walking distance of a subway line, we won't need all those Teslas. If we get rid of most single family houses, then we wouldn't need as many electrical entrances. If you were only allowed to heat your house to 55, think of how much less energy we'd require! Honestly, these capitalist-patriarchial conceits of a car just for YOU, a house just for YOU, so-called "room temperature"... they're all just symptoms of how far off the rails society has gotten.

...

No, I still need *my* vehicle, of course. It's necessary for all the important work I do saving the planet. But the point is that we, as a society, need to learn to make sacrifices to ensure there's still a world for our children and grandchildren.

Won't anybody think of the children?

It's idiots who think like that who will run to their safe rooms when the civil war starts. You can be sure they'll still get to heat their house to daygo tee conditions.

All the better.

They do not stock their safe rooms like survivalists do.

This is the same state where illegals get drivers license in some places. How are they going to pay for this if all the haves leave the state, while their GDP is dependent on giving anchor babies welfare?

Exit taxes at the state level are likely to violate the freedom of movement clause, or, at minimum, challengeaby so, until we can get out.... at least until president winfrey gets to replace one of the conservatives.

All this makes Illinois' proposed mileage tax (which likely comes with trackers for every car) seem moderate.

So in order for them to reduce energy they must quadruple energy usage JUST on wind energy? I wonder what's worse, the Green New Deal or the Economic Suicide Act? Nonethsless, Bucky Bartender cost thousands of Amazon jobs in her district!
