Amy just e-mailed me, and I now have a new British phrase to share: "I'm so made up for you." Which translates: "I'm so happy/excited for/proud of you."

I think I'm making a fashion statement. Everyone--boys too!--should so go get their tanktop and sports bra burned onto their shoulders and back the way that I did Thursday. Thursday! And it's still there. Leewwvly. And I feel naked when I put on shorts. I think everyone needed to know that.

Pip and her pessimistic Matt loved the American pancakes. I burned myself so much. I remembered to take everything to the church except for the spatula, so I had to use two forks to flip them which requires your hands to get entirely too close to the pan. Switzerland was wonderful. It was so hot, and I saw the sun for the first time since October or November or something. Our hostel was on Lake Geneva and had an excellent view of the Alps.
