Mother's Day? It's been a while since I've seen a holiday like this celebrated with such... enthusiasm. MOMO, I hope you didn't go to too much effort for that drone's sake. Relm, I'd argue otherwise. Did you do something for Jill ( Read more... )

I never thought to check the history. It's different, huh? Somehow that doesn't surprise me.

Yeah. Pretty sure there wasn't a guy named Wheaton ever running for president, but he is now.

Wheaton? Never heard of him. Let's see, 50's... Eisenhower, I think?

Truman in the beginning, Eisenhower for most of it, yeah. And they ran against Dewey and Stevenson. Just like this place, Wheaton seems to be made up.

Somehow I can't say that I'm surprised. This whole place seems to exist in it's own reality.

If you don't mind me asking, what are they saying, exactly?

It still feels like advanced VR simulations to me.

Aside from the change of president, a few different things in World War II. That's where everything seems to change, at least.

Perfect! Someone knowledgeable with this world's history. You may save me some time. Or at least give me a direction to start in. This will be fun either way.

Oh. Wait, wait. That's rude of me. Let me introduce myself first: My name is Cynthia.

I haven't seen much in the way of history, and I won't be able to for a few days. But the first change seems to be World War II. Russia sided with Germany, but Germany never attacked Russia. Germany turned towards Africa instead. The Americans still defeated the Germans, albeit behind schedule, and bombed Japan. Russia bombed Egypt in response. America, England, and Russia came together to an uneasy peace after that.

The current president, some unknown guy by the name of Cal Wheaton, advocates a tougher stance against the communists. No idea about what's going on currently, though.

Thank you, Big Boss.

I realize something now. Hindsight is twenty-twenty, you know. Or maybe you don't, having...one eye. Hmm.

What I mean is. I know the town I am in is Mayfield. I did not think until now to ask what country I am in.
