1.| This shouldn't even have to be said, but be polite and respectful of other players out of character and keep the player drama outside of the community. Just because your character is a douchebag doesn't mean you should be.
2.| Be as active as possible! When you apply here, we assume you have the time to post at least once every week, and we expect you to keep up with the threads you start with other people. Dead games suck, and the only way to keep an active, thriving RP is to participate.
Additionally, there will be an activity check every weekend. An in character post or a list and link to the threads that you have participated in that week will be acceptable. Not post in your character journal will result in a punishment. The punishments are an activity prompt but must be carried out. If you receive a punishment you will be required to post it and an additional post the following week. If you need help coming up with something to post please contact the mods, we will be happy to help you come up with something.
3.| When you know you'll be inactive for longer than a week, or if you know you can't participate anymore, you need to notify a mod or leave a comment in the add/drop post. For courtesy's sake, you should also post to foreshock_ooc and let everyone know.
4.| Under no circumstances may you control another player's character without explicit permission. This is called GODMODING and is one of the cardinal sins of roleplaying. If in doubt? Ask.
On that note, no in-game omniscience. While it is reasonable to assume that rumors float about, your character is still not likely to know everything that is going on with everyone else
5.| All of your posts and threads should be as in-character as possible. This goes for OC's too; keep them consistent. You've already proven to us in your application that you are capable of this, so please live up to our expectations of you!
6.| You must be at least 16 years of age to apply. There will be mature themes and content in this game so Everything must be clearly marked. Since we have members under the age of 18 we will need to keep any detailed sexual situations to private logs between the involved characters. People under the age of 18 will have to keep the "Minor" tag clearly posted somewhere in their character journal profile page. Anyone caught publicly posting adult situations with a minor will be removed from the game, no questions asked.
7.| Correct spelling and grammar, especially in logs, is absolutely required. No chatspeak is allowed in the main or logs community, except in OOC notes or if it is specifically present in your character's voice. The exception to this rule is the capslock comm.
8.| Currently, the character limitation is 3 per player and no more than 1 may be a major canon character. There may be special exceptions to this rule if you consult the mods, but for now it's to keep too many main characters from being played by the same person. On a related note, it is at the mods discretion whether your second canon character is too close to your first, and you may have to choose between them. The following are the character limits.
One (1) Major cc & two (2) Minor cc or two (2) oc
One (1) Major cc, one (1) Minor cc, one (1) oc
Two (2) Minor cc & one (1) oc
Three (3) Oc
9.| Contact mods if things get messy IN GAME. It's what we're here for and we can help you with ideas, plot progression, or whatever else. There's no excuse for being inactive because your character has nothing to do! You can formally reach us through the moderator e-mail we all have access to, which is foreshockrpg [@] gmail.com. Also, try our AIM/messengers.
10.| Lastly, we operate under a Three strikes policy. If you break the rules you get strikes, obviously. We will warn you for minor violations which will not count as strikes unless they are constantly repeated. After your third strike you will have your characters removed from you.
