I'll try to post every day, or at least most days, starting with question 1....
Hi! I'm Nats, aka forest_rose. I'm 33, I live in a little cottage near Nottingham with my fiancé, my elderly noisy kitty and two stubborn chickens (well, the chickens live outside). I've just started work as a forensic medical examiner, which means I'm a doctor and look after people in police custody who need medical care, take evidence from perpetrators and victims of rape and other violent crime, carry out mental health assessments, and go to scenes of death to look for suspicious circumstances. Before that, I worked in an emergency department and survived!
When I'm not doing that, I like writing, reading, swimming, and going on drunken escapades with my best friend
choccy_mouse. Most of the time we escape uninjured.
The boy and I are big geeks and like superhero films and comics. Somehow we are still getting married even though he likes DC and I like Marvel. (Also he's Buddhist and I'm Christian, but this seems to be far less of an issue!)
Considering my job, I'm a bit paranoid about putting photos of myself on the Internet. But you can have an artist's impression, drawn by the lovely
cellophane_ria of me, the boy and the menagerie outside our cottage. Alas, we don't have the geese and duck any more, but hopefully we'll be getting more ducks and chickens next year.
Is that not the cutest thing ever? Ria is lovely and talented <3
And now I'm off to drink tea and watch Batman. Marriage is, after all, about co-operation.
