Character Name: Dan Taichi
Age: 248 (physical), 15 (apparent)
Race: Mage/Elf; father was a mage, mother an elf
Kingdom: Raytin
Appearance & personality: In general, Dan is a sweet, cheerful person who never seems to hold any ill will towards anyone. There are a few things that may make him angry, though, and when that happens, there's nobody he doesn't dare confront, whether it's a good idea or not. He doesn't believe in violence, but is a master of nagging and bothering, to the point that some firmly believe he could drive a lesser man to insanity were they to raise his ire and not give in to his will. This is yet to be proven, though, as he is very good at persuasion, and reverts instantly to his usual lovable self once the reason for his anger has been resolved. He enjoys being around people and often visits the villages nearest to his home, occasionally making trips to cities further away.
Appearance-wise, Dan is very similar to canon, the most major difference being the ears inherited from his mother. He is relatively short and slim, with big brown eyes and messy blue hair. He usually has a smile on his face, and has one of the best puppy-eyed expression ever known. Despite his actual age, he appears to be a boy in his teens.
History: Dan's parents had been together for a couple of centuries and pretty much lost any hope of getting a child by the time he finally decided to arrive into the world. At this time, his mage father was already fairly old, and preferred a quiet family life to any adventures he might have had, teaching his son what little magic he could manage to master. Between his peaceful father and protective elf mother, Dan lived a very sheltered life for quite some time, secluded in a little cottage in the woods near the lake south of Verbves. However, after his father died, his mother started to wander about, leaving the young Dan alone for increasing periods of time. This is when he first learned to reach out to other people to alleviate his loneliness, freely wandering to the villages where he had only rarely visited before. Because he had little contact with people as a child, he still believes the majority of people to be good and kind, and is not easily convinced otherwise. His mother last showed up 57 years ago and hasn't been seen anywhere nearby since. Dan now lives in his childhood home alone with a Lyeos he calls Tomiel keeping him company, animal communication being his strongest elven skill.
