Hey, for anyone who is bored between the hours of now and 3 PM, come down to the Elmhurst Art Faire and fire some raku-ceramics. You get to see me stick my face into an 1800 degree F furnace, so that's got to at least be fun ( Read more... )

doomsey, nekosensei and I made stuff yesterday. It's great because you get the fun of making your own thing and it's really interesting to watch the process.

If it didn't involve such a long drive there and back I would totally be down there again today. Well that and I would surely spend more money than I can afford. There are some really cool artists there. Sadly it was so cold yesterday that I didn't get the chance to look at all of the booths. I am totally going back next year though.

Also, Greg, I thought it was an eyebrow? ;)

I was up till 3 in the morning helping my brother and his friend try to fix some technical difficulties so we could get this review out for his site by today.

It also involved filming a lot of pick-ups which involved me screaming and having to shake my head violently to recreate the original actors' recordings used for two cuts of Raiders of the Lost Ark... which we had to overdub cause we couldn't split the soundtrack to isolate the score.

The end result is I have a migraine and a hoarse voice. I'm staying in.

But next year I'd love to. I think Greenchild80 would be into too (I know she liked the Lombard Art Fair, which we did last year).
