Love the fact that the bass solo featured riffs from some of those great Queen songs that often get overlooked.

First off a confession - I have NO idea who Adam Lambert is other than 'someone a few people on my f'list keep talking about'.

Also, I love Queen and have never, ever liked any of the attempts I've heard of people trying to do their songs since Freddie died. He was such a total package of performer, showman, voice and so integral to the Queen sound that all the stuff I've heard in the last 20 years has sounded like dodgy tribute bands (they went through a phase of various people fronting for individual songs, I gave up listening because they were always annoying and/or frustrating)

I've just watched that I Want to Break Free video ... Holy hell, I'm impressed. The boy can sing that stuff, and he has the right sort of presence without looking like he's trying to do an impersonation of Mr Mercury.

You got it. He can totally nail the songs from Queen without just trying to mimic Freddie. He does make it his own without going too far south either. It's awesome. Brian May said that this tour would never be possible without Adam. Adam's voice is truly amazing.

I hope you found a lot of good songs of Adam with Queen, and some of Adam's own songs too. He's so freaking talented.
