My knowledge of grandparents is sadly lacking. I wish I could speak more to them and find out more about the past. So many things cannot be discussed because I simply cannot say or understand enough. I'm quite interested in their World War II experiences too. For a long time I didn't know anything about it and the question never crossed my mind.

And then Iris Chang died "mysteriously." Apparently she was "depressed" and decided to commit suicide. Except she'd been writing tons of books about such depressing subjects and nothing came up before this...

The government's actions are not always representative of the people. This falls into the same trap I just discussed. The Japanese government does something so obviously this means that everyone agrees with it.
What does Iris Chang have to relate to any of this? Are you implying assassination? Again I fail to see how that proves that everyone is evil.
I don't get why you are so antagonistic in your post. I think you missed the point I was trying to make. I was arguing not everyone is evil. You are arguing that not everyone was good. In essence you are counteraruging to something which I did not say. It just seems superficially related.
