Fashion Watch #2: Koolaburra Victoria Boots!

So as promised, I have finally gotten a minute to write about the boots I won from The Possessionista (and Koolaburra of course!) in the "31 Days of Giveaways" contest! (And FYI I found The Possessionista after The Fug Girls recommended the site in one of their link posts. So thanks, Heather and Jessica!)

Highly excellent! You look fierce, like you are thinking about challenging Michelle Obama to a duel. A boot-off, perhaps. Have I mentioned lately how much I love boots in general, and those particularly? Also, they do not look Ugg-like.

AHAHA. I have trouble not looking serious when taking self-portraits. So sometimes I actually end up looking angry. Heh.

Yeah, they seem to escape the Ugg look very well. I wonder why UGGS can't manage that. Heh.

I think they're fine with skirts/dresses, but not summer/spring ones :D They just look a bit wintery for that. These boots are HOT, though! (as are you.) Now I'm hearing Nancy Sinatra in my head.

Yeah, they are wintery/warm boots. I just went with that dress because it was the best I had to pair with these right now, length-wise.

Leggings as pants still makes me cringe so I can't give a completely honest answer.

I think these would look really hot with a short pair of shorts.

Leggings instead of the dress would be good though.

Honestly, I think these need a very, very specific type of look. Normal outfits don't work with it. At all. But it can be worked with if you're willing to go outside the box.

Hmm, interesting. The pants I am wearing in the first pic are actual pants, not leggings... but I am curious to know what other looks/clothes you would pair with them. I like trying new looks!

Those are some serious boots, you wear them well. :)

IMHO, they look better as part of the first outfit. Can't really see them working with the dress.

'Course my warbrobe is almost all tees and jeans, so WTF do I know? :p

Heeee. Well you don't have to be a dress-wearer to have an opinion. I kinda like them with the dress, but that doesn't mean I'm right, either. :)

Interestingly, if you look at the Koolaburra Twitter page, their background is a woman in a way *fancier* dress wearing these boots in brown.

They're kinda futuristic looking, I think.
