I cannot deal with the spam anymore!

Guys, I love the idea that anyone can comment here, even if they are not yet my LJ-friends, but I can't deal with the ridiculous amounts of spam comments anymore (they just get worse and worse! What is UP, LJ? Fix this!). Therefore, I've changed my settings to only allow comments from friends. Sorry!*

There's really not a lot you can do. All LJ support will tell you to do is report the spam comments and if it really bugs you, do what you just did.

The ridiculous amounts of spam that everyone's been getting is pretty much the most irritating of all annoying things. : (
Not even captcha keeps the spam at bay anymore.
